The Brand

Castore is a premium sportswear brand known for its innovative, high-performance apparel. Established with a mission to create the lightest, most durable, and technically advanced sportswear in the market, Castore has rapidly grown into a globally recognised brand. Their partnerships with elite athletes and sports teams reinforce their commitment to excellence, while their direct-to-consumer and wholesale operations demand a seamless, scalable eCommerce and ERP infrastructure.

Tactical NetSuite Support (2024)

Cogent2 was initially engaged to fill a NetSuite resource gap prior to the arrival of Castore’s permanent Functional Lead. During this period, we focused on helping the Merchandising, Operations, and Finance teams optimise their use of NetSuite.
Our work included:

  • Designing, building and deploying NetSuite configuration changes

  • SuiteScript design, development, testing and rollout for requirements such as:

    • Custom EDI sales invoicing for partners

    • Transit time calculations for supply chain planning

  • Extending Castore’s existing NetSuite implementation

  • Internal NetSuite training and knowledge sharing

  • General NetSuite administration and maintenance

  • Supporting Castore through BFCM 2024, ensuring stable system performance and removing bottlenecks during peak trading

Expanding the Remit (2025)

Following the arrival of Castore’s NetSuite Functional Lead, our role evolved into a more strategic partnership across technology and business functions.
Key areas of support included:

  • Designing and delivering complex supply chain customisation across freight forwarding, purchasing and invoicing workflows

  • Ongoing support via Castore’s ticketing system to deliver system changes, fixes, and user training within NetSuite

  • Providing architectural guidance across Castore’s broader tech stack including Shopify Plus, Centric PLM, Patchworks and GXO

  • Supporting cross-functional project delivery involving Shopify, NetSuite and GXO (e.g. click & collect enablement)

  • Advising the eCommerce team during the Shopify Plus agency review and partner selection process

  • SuiteScript development for bespoke projects

  • Helping define internal SuiteScript coding guidelines and tooling in collaboration with Castore’s Functional Lead

Supporting Castore 3.0 (May 2025 Onwards)

With Cogent2’s Andy Richley stepping in as Interim Head of Technology, our role has extended to leadership across key technology and operational domains:

  • Oversight of business-critical platforms including Shopify Plus, NetSuite, Patchworks and Centric

  • Ownership of IT systems and security

  • Project management and business analysis

  • Ongoing NetSuite systems analysis and development (with a Cogent2 Systems Analyst onboarded)

  • SuiteScript development support

  • eCommerce consultancy, with Dave Wiltshire providing direct support to Castore’s trading team on initiatives such as organic search growth, SEO and content strategy.

What We Said

Working inside Castore has been a brilliant opportunity to support a fast-paced, ambitious brand from within. What started as a short-term engagement providing NetSuite resource quickly evolved into a broader strategic role. I’ve had the chance to work across systems like Shopify Plus, Patchworks, Centric PLM and GXO, while helping to shape projects that cut across departments, from supply chain to trading. It’s been especially rewarding to see real momentum in what we’re building together, and it’s a privilege to be part of the journey with an iconic British brand.
