Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 July 2026
These terms are under final legal review and may be updated before they are finalised.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Cogent² website at cogent2.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Cogent2 Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15512532), registered office Appleton House, 25 Rectory Road, Nottingham NG2 6BE. By using the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
1. These terms are for the website only
These Terms of Use apply to the informational Site. They are not the contract under which we provide our platform and services. If you are a customer, your use of the Cogent² platform, iPaaS, EDI service and professional services is governed by our Master Services Agreement and the applicable Order Form, which take precedence over these terms for that use.
2. Using the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes and for learning about our products and services. You agree not to:
- use the Site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system;
- introduce malware or otherwise interfere with the Site's operation or security;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content except as permitted by law; or
- misuse the Site in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use.
3. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and the Cogent² name and branding, are owned by or licensed to Cogent2 Limited and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own reference, but you may not otherwise copy, reproduce, or exploit Site content without our prior written permission.
4. Information on the Site
Content on the Site is provided for general information only and may change without notice. While we take reasonable care, we do not warrant that the Site or its content is accurate, complete, or up to date, and nothing on the Site is professional advice or a binding offer. Any specific commitments about our services are made only in a signed Order Form and the Master Services Agreement.
5. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites or their content, and a link does not imply our endorsement.
6. Disclaimer and liability
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and conditions relating to the Site. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or from reliance on its content, except that we do not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). This clause does not affect the liability terms in the Master Services Agreement, which govern our services.
7. Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by posting the revised version on the Site. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
