PIM for Peoplevox
At scale, warehouse efficiency is a function of product data quality. Inaccurate dimensions or missing barcodes in the PIM cause immediate friction for Peoplevox users, leading to mis-picks and stock discrepancies. We connect your PIM to Peoplevox to ensure that logistical attributes like weight, dimensions, and variant data are correct before a single item is received. This replaces manual data entry with a controlled feed, reducing the operational drag of incorrect returns and fulfilment errors.
Consulting
We connect your PIM and Peoplevox systems quickly, ensuring your PIM, Peoplevox, WMS/3PL, and other platforms work together efficiently. Our consulting services are valuable because our system audit uncovers integration gaps and inefficiencies, enabling both our consultants and your team to take decisive action. This helps your WMS/3PL and wider tech ecosystem run smoothly, so you can deliver a great customer experience. With our expertise, you gain clear, actionable insights to optimise your technology and support your business growth.
Solution Design
For the PIM and Peoplevox integration, we define the PIM as the master for enriched content and logistical attributes, while Peoplevox remains the source of truth for inventory availability and pick-face locations. A primary design decision for this pair is the handling of ItemCodes. Because these are immutable in Peoplevox, we trigger a new item creation rather than an update when SKUs change in the PIM to avoid orphaned records. We also prioritise core logistical data while managing the flow of non-essential attributes to prevent latency on the Peoplevox hand-held interface. The trade-off is a slight delay in non-essential enrichment reaching the WMS, but it ensures warehouse operators have stable, high-performance tools for picking and packing. This architecture creates a clear ownership boundary that protects warehouse throughput during peak catalogue updates.
Mapping attribute flow and warehouse constraints
The PIM serves as the authoritative master for product attributes, while Peoplevox owns inventory execution. We synchronise logistical data such as dimensions, weight, and barcodes to ensure the WMS can handle items correctly. The integration monitors for attribute gaps, alerting teams if a new ItemCode is created in the PIM without the corresponding ItemType or ProductGroup required by Peoplevox. This sequence prevents items from being received into stock before they are fully defined, protecting the integrity of warehouse operations.
iPaaS
Leveraging IPaaS with SO 27001 and SOC 2 and above security accreditations ensures secure, efficient integration between PIM and Peoplevox, supporting WMS/3PL operations. IPaaS simplifies connecting PIM and Peoplevox, automating data flows and reducing manual errors. This approach benefits WMS/3PL by providing reliable, scalable integrations, while maintaining strict security standards. Using IPaaS guarantees that sensitive data is protected, and integration projects are delivered with confidence and compliance as a minimum requirement.
Surfacing SKU data gaps before fulfilment fails
Visibility means detecting a SKU sync failure before the warehouse team tries to scan it. Dashboards that only show uptime often miss critical attribute mismatches. We surface discrepancies where a PIM update has failed to reach Peoplevox or where mandatory fulfilment fields are missing. By exposing these data gaps early, you prevent the risk of a catalogue that appears healthy but actually contains errors that will fail during goods-in or picking. Early detection stops data errors from turning into customer disappointment.
Establishing clear ownership for operational teams
Handover focuses on the commerce and operations teams, ensuring they understand the data ownership boundaries between the PIM and Peoplevox. We provide operational documentation that details where each product attribute lives and how to check the status of a SKU sync. Teams learn to interpret alerts from the integration layer, distinguishing between missing logistical data that blocks a pick and minor enrichment errors. Product teams typically own the product master, while warehouse ops handles exceptions for unrecognised barcodes. This ensures daily checks are consistent and the business can scale without needing technical support for every new product launch.
Protecting data integrity during peak trading
Our support model goes beyond ticket resolution to manage operational issues as your catalogue grows. When PIM attributes like Unit of Measure or ItemCodes change, we surface the impact on Peoplevox inventory records before they cause picking errors. We focus on maintaining fulfilment integrity by ensuring that the link between your enriched product data and your physical warehouse execution remains unbroken through peak periods and catalogue expansions.
